An extensive network of
nurses and therapists care for a varied and growing population of
pediatric and adult patients. Seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The
skill and knowledge of its nursing staff enables AHCE's intermittent
services to continually expand in order to meet the needs of patients.
Nursing services range from physical assessment and medication
administration to high tech therapies. In addition, physical,
occupational and speech therapies are coordinated in the home.
Staff:
All AHCE's pediatric
nurses must have experience in either a neonatal/pediatric intensive
care setting or in a general pediatric unit. AHCE continues this high
standard of expertise in meeting the needs of its patients. All the
adult nursing staff have either emergency room, intensive care or
medical/surgical acute care experience. In order to meet the special
needs of AHCE's patient population, comprehensive orientation and
continuing education programs are required for all staff.
